Dear Quinn
Dear Quinn,
I just tucked you in and am sitting on the couch with a glass of wine and some Cherry Garcia fro-yo. You know, trying to keep it healthy.
It's Saturday, and I got to spend the whole day with you because Daddy was working. It's a rare occasion, but I cherish every minute because I never get you to myself. I forget all about laundry, dishes and cleaning and just enjoy you. The little person that you are becoming. We spent the day shopping with Lita {obviously} and you were such a good girl. You walked through the mall, holding my hand and looking so proud of yourself. I think you spent more time walking then you did in your stroller. You took a mini nap, which was just enough time for me and Lita to grab some coffee and fully focus on one store, without you demanding apples and water.
You kept asking for me every time I got out of your eye sight and then when I popped in your face, you would give me the biggest smile. That smile, with all the teeth you have. I think you have 15 now, which is insane because I remember throwing a fit when I saw the first hint of your first tooth.
You were my little buddy today, helping mama swipe credit cards and holding our bags. When we got home, you cuddled with me on the couch while watching Minnie. Daddy finally came home, but promptly fell asleep so I got to feed you dinner and read you your books, which I never get to do.
You laugh at my voices, and you give the best hugs. Your kisses are hilarious and when I ask for a "good one" you go right for my lips with your tongue. I have no idea where you picked that up, but secretly I love it.
I tucked you in with a blanket tonight, which we never do, but you look so grown it just felt right. I am listening to you breathe through the monitor and I just feel happy. I feel blessed that you are such a healthy little girl and every problem I have seems to be gone at this very moment.
I love you more than words and I thank God he gave me you. I hope to have many more days like today and I can't wait to see you in the morning.
Love you, my little nugget.
Love,
Mommy
