Dear Quinn
My dearest Quinn Taylor,
It still boggles my mind that you're s e v e n years old. Your birth is so fresh in my mind (and how scared you made us all that day!) I think back to what babies we both were. But from the moment we laid eyes on you we were obsessed. With every yawn, noise, smile and laugh. You were ours.
And we've both grown together. We've worked hard to figure out this Motherhood thing and I could not be more thankful for your patience with me. You're the only one who knows exactly what to say to me when I get a little crazy. And baby girl you will never know how much I appreciate that. Not even your daddy knows the right things to say sometimes, but you... have a way with me that I will treasure forever.
While it's hard for me to not just want to be your best friend all the time (because hello? You're seriously the coolest kid ever.) I so look forward to the days ahead for you and me.
You've grown into the strongest, most determined and sweet on the inside child I've ever known and I thank God everyday for your smile, your laugh and never ending silliness.
I love you, I love you, I love you. I hope you keep going after everything you want with that same strong headed desire you have now. I hope you never lose your sweetness but toughness at the same time. I hope you always strive to be as strong as you are.
Happy 7th birthday sweet girl.
To the moon and out.
Love,
Mommy
